Three "vital considerations" for landlords have been highlighted by property experts Clarity Commercial.
Apparently those looking to expand their property management portfolio should think about the expected rental income of their purchase, the opportunities for a discount on the market value and the financial products available to them, as well as the actual price of the bricks and mortar.
Chris Jenkins, manager at Clarity Commercial, said that now could be an ideal time to boost that portfolio.
Indeed, Nationwide Building Society and property website Rightmove have indicated in recent weeks that property prices are on the up, following months of a downward spiral.
Mr Jenkins said: "I believe that now is a good time to buy but only if the correct finance is in place.
"I think that the recovery process will itself be littered with ups and downs so landlords need to plan ahead and not just be seduced by rock-bottom prices."
