Welsh lettings hit ten-year high

The residential lettings market in Wales is at a ten-year high, it has been claimed.

Julie Hollidge, executive branch manager with letting agent Keylet, claims that the boom is set to continue if Wales continues to attract "a high calibre workforce".

A report on WalesOnline suggests that estate agents have seen record levels of demand.

This has even resulted in bidding wars breaking out between tenants in some cases.

Ms Hollidge claims that the industry is crying out for residential lettings, having been shocked to see a momentous bidding war break out over a Cardiff Bay property herself.

She told the news provider: "If you've got an investment property, we want to hear from you. We are literally crying out for properties."

The phenomenon also looks set to go national.

Following figures from Paragon Mortgages indicating that more than halfof landlords expect tenant demand to grow during the next year.
