Urban&Rural moves into lettings

Property services company Urban & Rural has announced it is moving into the residential lettings sector.

The firm will offer services to landlords and tenants in Bedfordshire through a link up with Lenwell.

Urban & Rural claims that the deal will make it the largest independent group in the country, having focussed exclusively on home sales for the past decade.

Craig Reynolds, director of Urban & Rural Franchising said that the move had been inspired by prevailing mood in the housing market and the boom in residential lettings that has recently occurred.

He told Bedford Today: "We have been considering the natural expansion into residential lettings for some time and feel the current marketplace presents the ideal opportunity to integrate the department across our network of branches to offer our established service and marketing product to that sector of residential property.

"Our affiliation with ARLA, the TDS and thorough tenant referencing through Homelet will offer essential peace of mind [to clients]."
