Landlords have been warned that unfurnished residential lettings could put some tenants off in certain parts of the UK by one industry expert.
Malcolm Harrison, of the Association of Residential Lettings (Arla), claims that a landlord should always do as much as possible to make tenants happy.
Recent figures from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors revealed that 43 per cent of surveyors reported growth in rental yields during the last quarter.
However, as Mr Harrison explained, potential residents can easily be put off.
He told the Daily Mail: "A happy tenant is a good one. Go out of your way to keep them happy.
"The rent is broadly the same whether it's furnished or unfurnished, but an unfurnished home may deter renters in some areas of the country."
Rics research also indicated that the number of rental properties available in the UK grew by 13per cent in the three months to August.
