Transactions still 22% down across London,says agent

Transaction levels are still 22% lower than the peak of 2007, London agents Douglas & Gordon have reported.
This is despite supply being 50% higher than the lowest level measured in the last 12 months, and despite there being three buyers for every property in the capital.
Douglas & Gordon, who also report 27% annual increase in prices, say that Americans are already buying in Battersea to be near the new US Embassy when it relocates in what will be inevitably be several years’ time – the entire project has yet to receive final sign off from local planners..
