People renting homes in Scotland are generally happy with the property management standards of landlords.
That is according to the latest landlord research from the Scottish government, which found that 85 per cent of tenants were either "very satisfied" or "fairly satisfied" with their situation.
Negative comments reported by the study tended to relate to landlord response times regarding repairs, as well as issues surrounding tenants' deposits.
David Kendall from the National Landlords Association Scotland commented: "It is quite clear from this latest government study that the private-rented sector in Scotland is flourishing."
He added that satisfaction levels remain "a little higher" north of the border in comparison to England.
This residential lettings research was announced at yesterday's Scottish Association of Landlords major conference and exhibition in Edinburgh.
Various other issues such as property tax and industry regulations were discussed during the course of the day.
