Estate agent Peter Ellis has purchased the offices of the bankrupt letting agents Humberts.
The residential letting agent had managed to sell most of its 80 country-wide offices to buyers, except for a selection in the north Somerset area.
Mr Ellis will take over the businesses at the newly purchased offices in Weston and has pledged that all staff will keep their jobs.
He told the Weston Mercury: "We will be looking for new premises in Weston, but all staff will be kept on.
"They have kept on working throughout all the recent uncertainty, and I am pleased they will all still have jobs."
Earlier this month Humberts sold 34 of its offices to Mercantile Group for a fee of £3.16 million.
This followed cuts of more than 100 full-time employees in early January 2008.
Commenting about the purchase in the Times, Mercantile Group chair, Salah Mussah, remained confident that the Humbert brand could be turned around.
