'Now is the right time' to invest in property

Now is a good to consider low-risk property investments.

That is according to Nick Hopkinson, of property investment company Incito, who, in an article in City AM, remarked that "it's a very exciting time to buy".

He rejected the idea that the banking system had "collapsed", noting that lenders were already offering competitive mortgages to consumers with a good credit status.

He went on to say that, despite disappointing national figures, there were still pockets of growth in the market, citing parts of London and the South East as an example.

Mr Hopkinson assured potential investors that they stood to make a long-term profit, provided that they "buy in the right place at the right time".

He explained: "It's not a get-rich-quick scenario, but a long-term game-plan to ensure a more comfortable future. And that game-plan should start now. Thelonger you're in it, the higher your return."

Mr Hopkinson added that there were several "golden rules" for achieving success in the market, which included selecting the right locations to buy in.
