Landlords will benefit from the provision of financial information regarding the various changes that will take place following Budget 2008.

The NLA has announced that, as part of the e-learning programme which it launched recently, it will offer up-to-date post-Budget 2008 financial and tax information.

In addition, the organisation will add to its programme updated modules on a variety of areas, including capital gains tax, record-keeping, mortgages and inheritance tax.

Alison Perkins, landlord development manager for the NLA, said that accurate tax information was highly important for landlords.

She commented: "Financial advice for consumers has been hitting the headlines lately, but just as important is accurate information for the 800,000 landlords for whom taxation can be a complicated matter.

"The programme will help keep landlords up-to-date with the many changes that occur in Budget 2008 and help raise standards in the sector, improving the tenant experience.
