Landlords who are members of the National Landlords Association (NLA) are to be given the opportunity to take advantage of a special deal.
The NLA has announced that the government-authorised tenancy deposit protection scheme mydeposits can be joined by its members for just £10.
It comes as part of a summer sale at the tenancy deposit scheme, which is one of just a few that has government backing.
Richard Price, director of operations at the NLA, predicted that the offer will prove to be very popular among landlords who are not yet signed up to a scheme.
"This new flat fee for NLA members joining mydeposits is great news and comes just at the right time in the year when many new tenancies are being created," he said.
Earlier in 2010, Eddie Hooker, chief executive of mydeposits, stated that the wear and tear of properties is one of the hottest topics for debate among landlords.
He was announcing the publication of a new set of guidelines to help landlords decide whether the wear and tear in a property is reasonable.
