The National Landlords Association (NLA) has named Sussanne Chambers as its new board director.
Her arrival at the group has been welcomed by NLA chairman David Salusbury, who has recently spoken about the issues facing landlords and private-rented sector in the coming months.
"The sector is going through a period of change and growth and Sussanne is perfectly placed to help deal with these changes," said the chairman.
Ms Chambers' arrival comes after the Association of Residential Letting Agents announced a new licensing initiative for letting firms earlier this month, and following the government's recent decision to launch a landlord register.
She said that it is important that the "highest standards of customer service" are shown across the industry and revealed that the "overwhelming majority" of landlords she meets at conventions across the UK are keen to boost their own professional development.
