There could be more demand for property rental software in the UK following an increase in the number of landlords in the country.
According to property website Gumtree.com, it has seen a 19 per cent increase in the amount of people advertising properties to rent on its pages over the last three months.
Celebrity property expert Sarah Beeny, who has presented shows such as Property Ladder and Britain's Best Homes, backed up this finding, saying that the upturn in landlord numbers is part of a two-year trend.
She cited expanding families, recent redundancies and an inability to sell at a desired price as reasons for the increased interest in letting bricks and mortar.
Gumtree.com refers to many of them as "unplandlords" and claims the cost of renting a property has dropped by two per cent since the start of 2009 as a result of their presence in the market.
Oxford has seen rental costs drop six per cent - the highest plunge in the country.
