The private rented sector in London is looking "pretty healthy" for landlords, according to a partner at a property agency.
Gary Hall of Knight Frank believes that there is no limit to where rental prices will peak, as the demand for tenancies continues to grow sharply in the capital.
Indeed, he stated that rents have surged by 27 per cent and are now close to matching the high levels seen before the financial crisis.
"It's looking pretty healthy as a landlord - the rental market will continue to grow and the rental prices are going to head up," he commented.
However, Mr Hall stated that there is a lack of properties being made available at the bottom end and middle market.
This suggestion fits in with the results of a recent study conducted by ARLA, which indicated that a record number of letting agents are reporting increasing interest from potential tenants throughout the UK.
