London still represents a good location for long-term investment from buy-to-let landlords, despite signs of decreased interest in the capital's property market.
That is according to William Kistler, president of the Urban Land Institute for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI), who maintained that London is a "very desirable location".
He asserted that London is viewed as one of the "truly world capitals", offering a wide range of "fundamental assets" such as airports and universities.
Mr Kistler commented: "London is still seen by investors worldwide as one of a very small number of truly world capitals with New York and Tokyo.
"London has fundamental assets in terms of physical things like airports and infrastructure, human capital and universities along with other things that make it a very desirable location."
He added: "Long-term, London is still competitive."
