London property event has 'successful start'

Landlords and property management experts were among the housing professionals at the opening of the Grand Designs Live London event at the weekend.

Information on the property industry and a selection of environmentally-friendly home displays help make up the ten-day spectacular.

Television presenter Kevin McCloud, the host of the show, is pleased with the early reaction to the event, saying the openign weekend attracted 28 per cent more people than it did last year.

McCloud said he was impressed with the overall response to the event, which will end on Monday May 4th.

"This year surprisingly, given the economic downturn, has been an extraordinary success for us," he explained.

Innovative design ideas and a host of landlord-themed presentations will run throughout the week at London's ExCeL venue.

Those who invest in property may find that a trip to the capital city helps give them some tips to improve their property management processes.
