Landlords won't be harmed by the expansion of London City Airport, according to a property advice website.
Buy Association maintained that as the airport is not used by large aircraft the disruption caused to the surrounding residential area is minimal.
Paul Collins, a spokesperson for the site, said that improvements to the transport infrastructure could in fact increase the demand for buy-to-let property in the area.
"The transport is good, particularly in that part of London because you've got the new developments going into the Olympics site, you've got the fact that the Docklands Light Railway is extending down to Woolwich as well."
He added: "The transport infrastructure in the area is improving hugely
so it's more of an advantage than a really bad thing."
Last year, London City Airport handled a record number of 2.9 million passengers, a rise of 23 per cent over 2006.
