Letting conference goes ahead as planned

The Association of Residential Letting Agents (Arla) has revealed that its 2009 Conference and Exhibition will go ahead on Tuesday as scheduled, despite the heavy snowfall that has hit London.
Extreme weather conditions have made it difficult for people to get into the centre of the capital, but Arla "has considered the situation" and can confirm that the annual event will take place.
In a statement, the association said that firms with queries about the show can get in contact with the group today or tomorrow.
Letting companies and other industry organisations will be gathering for the occasion at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith, west London.
Arla announced last month that residential lettings landlords are taking the long-term view over their property investments and are expecting to hold on to them for up to 20 years, even if prices fall.
