An awards show in London is set to commemorate letting agents which have delivered the highest standards of customer service over the last 12 months.
The Estate and Letting Agent Awards, which will take place on April 8th at the Marriott hotel in Park Lane, London, is intended to encourage high standards of service in the residential lettings industry.
Letting agents from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have entered the industry awards competition, which involves clients of individual rental businesses filling out questionnaires to rate their service.
The ceremony comes as the more and more Britons are looking to rent because of the difficulties in securing mortgage finance, while the rental market is becoming increasingly crowded in some areas as accidental landlords enter the market.
Indeed, letting agents which have used property software to boost their marketing might be among those present at the show.
Organiser Simon Brown told estateagenttoday.co.uk that around 200 agents have entered the contest.
He added: "Our total last year was 265, so given the market, we are extremely pleased with the final numbers."
