A letting agent in Yorkshire has stated that tenant demand is increasing.
According to Rick Flay, a director at letting agent chain Belvoir Sheffield, the company is actively seeking out new properties to let, such is the demand for rented accommodation.
He said there has been a "significant increase in tenant enquiries", leading to the letting agent looking for new homes to rent out in various postcodes around the city.
Mr Flay added that the firm particularly needs one and two-bedroom terraced houses and apartments, in order to meet the demand from potential tenants.
He explained that landlords who use a letting agent such as Belvoir to rent out their properties will receive expert help on matters such as capital gains tax, asset protection, pensions or portfolio management.
This comes after London letting agent Ludlowthompson.com said a lack of available properties has led to rents being pushed up in the capital.
