A letting agent has announced it is to launch an advice service for those who are concerned about how they will be affected by plans to build a high-speed rail line from London to Birmingham.
Knight Frank has put together a team of property and planning consultants who are able to give advice on matters such as compensation claims and compulsory purchase orders.
James Del Mar, head of the letting agent's rural consultancy department, stated that Knight Frank's knowledge, experience and expertise will come in handy for those who require advice about the train line.
"Coupled with the team's depth and breadth of experience, we are well placed to assist those house, farm and estate owners worried about the impact of this proposed major development," he said.
This week, the government announced that it has opened the bidding for the rights to operate the high-speed rail line, which could be extended to Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield in the future.
