Two members of staff at a lettings agency in Edinburgh are facing a court appearance, after complaints emerged that they were negligent in their management of a property in the city.
Angus and Doris Chrichton have applied for a multiple application licence for a property in Gylemuir Road and are now facing six objections from people who live near the flat.
They have raised objections after claiming that there was undue noise emanating from the flat in the form of "noisy, drunken parties", the Edinburgh Evening News reports.
Meanwhile, fire officers have said that the absence of a fire detector made the premises unsafe.
Mr Chrichton told the court that he would evict the tenants about whom the complaints have been received and claimed that he had charged Click-let - a local letting agency - to fit a fire alarm.
The case is set to continue at the next meeting.
