Two property lawyers are out to defy the doom and gloom associated with the current economy by forming their own residential lettings business in Eye, near Diss, Norfolk.
As reported by the Diss Express, Steve and Julie Palmer - both experienced property lawyers - are to open Eye's only letting agent next week.
Palmers County Homes will open its doors on Monday and offer residential lettings and property management services across the area.
Mr Palmer told the newspaper: "This is a new adventure and we are starting from scratch. I am excited, it is a niche."
Despite the current economic crisis in Britain, letting agents in some areas of the country could be poised for success as more would-be homebuyers switch to rented accommodation because of difficulties in securing mortgage finance.
But more sellers began renting their homes late last year - instead of selling their property at distressed prices - and Rics research published in November recorded a fall in the average rent for homes for the first time in five-and-a-half years.
Letting agents could consider property software to ensure they can rise above the competition in a competitive rental market.
