Landlords and letting agents are being offered the chance to secure an energy performance certificate (EPC) for a knockdown price with a new offer from Easier2Move (E2M).
Under the terms of the new rules all landlords and letting agents will be legally obliged to present an EPC to prospective tenants as of tomorrow.
To capitalise on the expected last-minute rush, E2M is offering to service clients with the certificate for just £55 and pledges to be able to complete the process within 24 hours.
Robin Marcus, director of the online conveyancer, said: "The introduction of EPCs is a vital step toward tackling climate change and we therefore hope that these measures we have introduced will go some way to ensuring that the introduction of the compulsory deadline runs as smoothly as possible."
Failure to present would-be tenants with the certificate could result in a fine of £200 as well as a temporary ban on marketing the property.
