Housing ministers have yet to meet estate agency representatives

Nearly two months in, the Coalition Government has yet to meet with anyone from the estate agency industry.
We’re not sure whether this is a welcome breath of fresh air after Labour’s tiresome compulsion to engage with ‘stakeholders’ at every opportunity, whilst taking absolutely no notice of them before passing more legislation – or somewhat worrying.
Former housing minister John Healey asked a parliamentary question about what recent meetings CLG ministers had had with representatives of the estate agency industry.
Grant Shapps replied: “Since the Coalition Government was formed, no CLG minister has met with representatives of the estate agency industry.”
Still, this non-interventionist approach does at least mean that everyone can get on with their jobs.
