Landlords interested in rent collection software might consider adding property to their portfolio amid recent house price falls as one industry expert predicts that the market will pick up in late 2009.
According to Luke Bennett, founder and managing director of estate agents SW19, house prices wills start to rise in the latter part of 2009, earlier than many people's predictions for market growth in 2010.
Property registrations at his firm are expected to increase by 20 to 30 per cent during 2009, he noted.
Mr Bennett commented that the housing market has reached a plateau, meaning activity should start to increase in the new year.
"Towards the end of next year we will start to see prices creep up a little bit," he said.
"Next year's going to be a bit more active," Mr Bennett added.
Rics reported that 14 per cent more of its members reported a rise rather than a fall in new buyer enquiries during November, up from a balance of minus nine per cent who predicted growth in October.
