Foxtons agent slings her job for Olympic dream

We’d like to wish all the best to Sunny Brar (yes, honestly), who has given up her burgeoning job as an estate agent at Foxtons to concentrate on getting a gold in weightlifting at the 2012 Olympics.
At 25, she took up the sport only ten months ago but is already British number two in the 63kg (140lb) class.
“I wish I had tried weightlifting sooner,” she says. “If I had started earlier I could have represented England at the Commonwealth Games, but now I’m aiming for the Olympics – that’s my goal in life.
“I think I could have gone far in my job as an estate agent, but that is one of the sacrifices I have had to make.”
A spokeswoman for Foxtons said: “We wish her all the best in her new path and success in her Olympic aims.”
Meanwhile, Foxtons is to get over its disappointment at losing one of its rising stars by opening its 27th office tomorrow, in Streatham, south London.
It follows the launch of two other new offices in north London this spring.
As is the Foxtons norm when opening a new office, the first 200 sellers will be tempted by a 0% commission fee.
