Buy-to-let landlords looking to invest in property in Birmingham may be interested by some of the city's popular suburbs.
According to a spokeswoman for Robert Powell & Co, an independent firm of chartered surveyors and estate agents, Birmingham has "three preferred suburbs, all within a few miles of the city centre".
She maintained that the most attractive of these areas was Edgbaston, as it had plenty of greenery and a golf course.
The spokeswoman also said that Harborne and Moseley were popular suburbs and that all three areas benefited from a "fantastic range of schools".
She commented: "Edgbaston is the best suburb. It's a very green suburb - it has more trees than any other suburb of any city in Europe and has a golf course right in the middle of it.
"Harborne is on the edge of Edgbaston and has its own little high street with restaurants and bistros.
"Moseley is the last suburb, and is roughly two and a half miles from the city centre. Those three areas benefit enormously from a fantastic range of schools - both state schools and private schools."
