A conference for council landlords and their tenants is to be held in Welwyn Garden City this weekend, the Welwyn and Hatfield Times reports.
Hosted by Welwyn Hatfield Council, the special housing conference will take place on Saturday July 7th, and it is hoped that it will become an annual event.
The day will be comprised of a series of events that are relevant and informative for both renters and leaseholders, and representatives from the council's proposed new housing maintenance partner, Mears, will be in attendance on the day will to chat to tenants.
A range of topics will be discussed in workshops, such as affordable housing and ways to deal with anti-social behaviour. Attendees will all be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win various treats.
Councillor Roger Trigg, executive member for housing, said: "We have run successful conferences with other authorities in previous years, but this is the first to focus very specifically on the services for ourtenants and affordable housing within Welwyn Hatfield.
"It's a great opportunity for them to learn a bit more about what we do and for us to seek their views on how to improve."
