Landlords are likely to be adversely affected by the closure of county courts all over the country in order to save public money.
This is according to the Residential Landlords Association (RLA), which stated that the court process is likely to slow down as a result of the closures, which were recently announced by the government.
The body said there may even be an increase in the number of unlawful evictions if there are fewer courts available at which tenants can argue their cases.
"Landlords are expected to comply with their legal obligations but then still have the compulsory obligation to ensure speedy access to justice," it noted.
The RLA therefore urged the government to reconsider its decision to close the county courts.
Landlords were recently advised to use the services of a letting agent to rent their properties in order to make their lives easier.
Rick Flay from letting agent Belvoir wrote on his blog that letting agents only charge a small commission for their services.
