Changes afoot at Arla

News Category: Industry News

The chief executive of one of the organisations which represents the interests of letting agents in the UK will step down at the end of the year.

Arla's current chief executive, Adrian Turner, will stand down after his organisation has successfully merged with the NAEA.

The two bodies will become the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) and its chief executive will be Peter Bolton King - the current chief executive of the NAEA.

In his new role, Mr Bolton King will assume the duties of the chief executive of Arla. However, the organisation's day-to-day running will be overseen by Ian Potter - who will become operations manager of Arla.

Arla president Robert Jordan welcomed the move, saying: "Ian's appointment secures Arla the services of a lettings professional of many years standing with which to ensure the Association's way forward.

"He also brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the way that our association works with its members in the interests of the whole of the private rented sector."

Mr Potter served for 14 years as a National Council member of Arla. He joined the Association as its business and compliance manager.

Arla was established in 1981 and currently has 1,800 member offices throughout the UK.ADNFCR-1064-ID-18247515-ADNFCR
