Chancellors to focus on efficiency

News Category: Industry News

Chancellors, one of the largest independent groups of estate agents in the UK, is working hard to make sure the process of renting out property is much easier for landlords.

That is according to a report in the Henley Standard, which has asserted that the group wants to ensure that landlords have a complete understanding of how the process works and also to eradicate problems caused by miscommunication.

Chancellors has implemented a number of changes to this end, including "a standard set of processes that all parties dealing with them know they are working to".

In addition, the group is aiming to complete the exchange of contracts within five working days once an offer has been agreed on a tenancy.

Gavin Sung, lettings director for the Chancellors Group, said: "Landlords can feel assured that we are working to secure a tenancy for them quickly once an offer is agreed and tenants can feel secure in knowing that they have the property without a lengthy periodof uncertainty before contracts are exchanged.

"It also means that all parties know that we are working and acting in an efficient, diligent manner to get a tenancy in place quickly."

Research recently conducted by SmartNewHomes.com found that just 18 per cent of Britons hope to purchase a property during their 20s, with the majority expecting to rent instead.
