Capital news as movewithus says it's time2change

movewithus has rebranded – to Move with Us. Hurrah!
The firm describes the switch as making it more consumer-orientated.
We have a feeling that Connells said much the same thing when, in a major public relations exercise, they rebranded to Connell and then, extremely quietly and hoping no one would notice, stuck the ‘s’ back on a year later.
We’re also reminded of the TEAM rebrand which necessitated all the cost that blue sky thinking involves, to change to the extraordinarily irritating ‘team’. Why didn’t they just settle for Team?
However, we rather like Move with Us’s latest, er, move.
Here at EAT, we welcome getting rid of those ungrammatical lower-case irritations that mess with our somewhat pedantic sub-editor’s house style. Hard not to sympathise, though: lower-case letters that are meant to be big grown-up capital letters always look wrong at the start of sentences. And, come to think of it, in the middle of sentences too. And at the end.
Is it too much to hope that all those websites and businesses that have hung on to their annoying lower-case letters, even though they recall an era when the internet was still young and trendy, could follow this ground-breaking initiative?
We would also like to declare war on the use of 2, 4 and u.
These are usually used by dull conveyancing firms which think they are trendy just because they now call themselves things like lawyers4u and homesales2u. Okay, I’ve just made those up, but for all I know they exist.
Anyway, the real culprits know who they are. Time4change?
