There has been a reported increase in the number of buy-to-let investors looking to boost their property management portfolios - and the majority of them are from Britain.
At least that is the view of the senior partner at Prickett & Ellis estate agent, Nigel Ellis, who claims that landlords feel the time is right to put their money into property.
Explaining the demographic of those looking to enter the lettings market, he said: "We all know the Russians have gone and I don't get the feeling that there are any Europeans.
"It is the Brits that invest, or use their homes as more of an investment, and not the French or the Germans."
Mr Ellis also suggested that there is a feeling among investors that property will always be in demand.
His comments come after The Young Index's first-quarter-of-2009 report showed that 99 per cent of investors intend to keep their properties for the next 12 months.
