October will see Arla host a special conference for letting agencies on issues affecting the Scottish housing market.
In conjunction with the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), Arla is set to run a special symposium updating letting agents and industry professionals on issues as diverse as tenancy deposits, Home Reports and the Green Deal.
Special sessions will also run for how social media is affecting the way professionals can conduct business, as well as the outlook for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Chief executive of Arla and the NAEA Peter Bolton King said: "It is a challenging time for all involved - whether lettings, house buying, or sales - in the wake of the recession."
He added that the conference offered the best opportunity for industry professionals to set themselves apart as reputable agents "as the market begins to recover".
Arla has already issued guidance for letting agencies on how the 2011 Private Rented Housing (Scotland) Act affects them. Coming into effect on August 31st, the Act made it a criminal offence for landlords not to notify local authorities when appointing a lettings agency to manage a property.
The conference takes place on October 7th.
