The Association of Residential Letting Agents has confirmed the date and venue of next year's Arla Conference.

Due to take place on February 5th 2008, Arla announced that its conference will have a new venue this year - the Novotel hotel in Hammersmith in London.

A statement from the group read: "The Arla Conference is a must for all members wishing to keep updated on the latest issues affecting agents and professionals operating in the private rented sector.

"The steadily increasing delegate numbers which have risen during the past three years to more than 400 attendees, means that ARLA has once again had to seek a bigger venue.

"In addition, with the recent merger of ARLA and NAEA, delegate numbers are expected to increase yet further."

Arla also confirmed that the guest speaker at the event will be journalist Rosie Millard. Ms Millard is noted for her weekly take on lettings in the Sunday Times and for her work for BBCTV and the Independent on Sunday.

"As a serial buy-to-let landlady herself, Rosie knows all about the pains and pleasures of renting, making her well able to engage a conference hall of lettings professionals," Arla conclude.

Arla has over 1,800 member offices throughout the UK - including large multi-branch national companies as well as the smaller single office practices.
